    Clex 2

    clex2-tweak

Made by popular iOS developer Gabriele Filipponi, Clex2 brings a unique way of interacting with your music and controlling it from anywhere throughout iOS. You can access a list of all your songs as well as control the currently playing song from the sidebars which appear when you swipe from the left or the right edge of the screen.

Clex2 is available on Cydia’s BigBoss repository for $1.99

    Colorize

    colorize

If you’d like to spice up your Music app and bring a refreshing look to it, you should check out Colorize. The tweak changes the color of the Now Playing interface in the Music app to the dominant color of the album artwork rather than the default white color. This means that every song will have a different Now Playing interface that adapts to the color of the song’s artwork.

Colorize is available for $0.99 on Cydia’s BigBoss repository and supports both iOS 7 and iOS 8 devices.

    EqualizerEverywhere

    Equalizer Everywhere

The tweak adds a systemwide equalizer to your iPhone allowing you to adjust the sound of your device or the headphone. The equalizer provides fine-tuned control over how audio sounds on your iPhone, with sliders that can be adjusted and default presets available.

It can be accessed from Control Center by swiping the music control buttons to the left. From there, you can modify the audio settings according to your taste as well as choose a default preset provided by the tweak.

EqualiserEverywhere can be purchased for $3.00 from Cydia’s BigBoss repository.

    Everest

    everest

Everest provides a simple way of controlling the song playing on your iOS device. It displays a banner at the top of the screen which can be invoked via an Activator gesture. The banner shows the album artwork and the title of the song along with a play/pause button. You can also swipe it to the left or the right to go to the previous or the next track.

Along with the stock Music app, Everest supports Rdio, Beats Music, Pandora and many other third-party music apps.

If you want to give it a try, Everest is available for $0.99 in Cydia’s BigBoss repo.

    Impulse

Impulse is a unique tweak which allows you to use touch gestures to control the song playing on your iPhone while it is locked. For instance, you can tap on the screen while locked to play or pause the song, use swipe gestures to change the volume or skip to the next track. Most importantly, the tweak claims that it will have a minimum impact on the battery level.

Impulse can be installed for free of charge from BigBoss repository.

    MiniPlayer

    miniplayer4

MiniPlayer is one of the most popular tweaks on Cydia. It displays an iTunes 11 inspired widget on the screen which can be accessed readily from anywhere in iOS. The widget provides music control buttons to play/pause the track, go to the previous or the next as well as adjust the music volume. It also displays the album artwork along with the title of the song.

You can easily move the widget on the screen as well as hide it by swiping it to the left or right side of the screen or using an Activator gesture.

MiniPlayer can be purchased for $1.99 from Cydia.

The Best iOS 8 Jailbreak Tweaks [January 26 – February 1]

There were quite a few tweaks that came out this week on Cydia, but I figured I’d narrow it down to the top 5 for this week. So if you haven’t heard of AppButton, Anchor, OnTapMusic, AcamarUI, or Harbor, then you might want to stick around to find out a bit more about these tweaks. Let’s check them out!

AppButton – $1.49

appbutton
This is a really awesome tweak that will allow you to quickly switch between apps that are running in the background. All you have to do after setting it up is just slide your finder on the button to reveal all the running apps that you can switch it. It works very fluidly and feels like a seamless addition to iOS 8.

Anchor – $1.99

anchor
If you were a fan of GridLock, then you’re going to like Anchor. Anchor is the replacement for Gridlock, since it hasn’t been update for iOS 8. If you’re not familiar, Anchor will allow you to move icons from anywhere on the springboard and it will keep the space from which you moved an icon blank, rather than the icons sliding over to fill in the empty space. This is pretty handy tweak in some situations.

OnTapMusic – Free

ontapmusic
This is a free tweak that’s in beta and it will allow you to invoke Reachability to show you the currently playing album, song, and artist. It looks really nice and gives you the ability to swipe the artwork to the right or the left to go to the previous or next song. Again, this is a beta so you could run into some bugs, but that is to be expected.

AcamarUI – $1.99

acamarui
If you weren’t a fan of the first couple Apple Watch UI tweaks, maybe AcamarUI will do the trick. It’s pretty similar to it’s predecessors, with just a little bit of a different look. A cool feature that it’s added is the ability to sort all your icons by color, which makes finding apps a bit easier, not to mention, it looks pretty cool.

Harbor – $2.99

harbor
This is a really cool tweak with a lot of different configurations. Harbor brings the OS X Yosemite dock right to your iPhone. You can add as many icons to your dock as you want and when you swipe across the dock, you get that wave animation native to OS X. You can also allow the icons to bounce just like on your Mac.
